Locked Cabin

In 2022 spring, due to the pandemic, I have been trapped in a small rental apartment in Shanghai. I am not a social animal in nature, so at beginning I enjoyed being secluded and spent my days cooking, reading, and sleeping. The only pressing matter was constantly monitoring the food supply in the refrigerator. As time went on, I gradually grew tired of this repetitive life and realized how distant people are from each other when I wanted to chat with someone. It feels like being locked inside a cabin on a ship; I can hear some people knocking from afar as we all float along with the waves in the same sea.
